A pairing with the Dionysos Mucha, Ariadne. Wife of Dionysos, Deserted lover of Theseus, True Savior of the Athenian Youth.
Taken from another design of Alphonse Mucha, Ariadne's attributes are her yarn and the 9 circles explaining her tale of the Labyrinth and the Minotaur.
Daughter of Minos, the string that saves the Athenian youth from the Minotaur unravels and goes off in multiple directions. About 5 inches height, the 9 circles explain her destine meeting with Dionysos. Beginning with the Bull that the wife of Mino's copulated with, a Minotaur is then born into the next circle. Following the herding of the 7 males and 7 females for sacrificing to the Minotaur, sailing to the island where they encounter the labyrinth. Wanting to please the heroic hero Theseus, Ariadne hands over her string, which allows the Youths to leave the labyrinth. Love is exchange between Ariadne and Theseus, leads to her slumber only to be left on the island, alone and watching the ship leave her, desertion.
